Rondeau
02:33
|
|||
Fierce extravagance of Nature
balleting before my eyes,
feast of clangours and perpetual
dance of flares in any guise,
since so long I contemplate you,
marveling and scrutinizing,
wisdom words I got to wrest
from the enigmatic gaze of skies.
To this keeper I entrust them
and deliver them to centuries
to be fathomed as they mature,
even those my time denies.
Dastardly the law of men,
forged alike from their barbarity,
but the contrivance of writing
speaks to Eternity and survives.

Fulgent tapestries sorround me
and the longest shadow towers.
Embraced by warm ripple of candlelight,
soul is relieved, vision empowered.
Gently unveils to me
this crepuscular glare of wisdom
what the kingdom of daylight
slyly hides among the shrewings.
How much brighter these brown ruins
than their pale forgotten ghosts
and how desperate who struggles
for the beauty that was lost.
As painful as it is,
Present is the sweetest of all things,
as well as the only that exists.

Somnium I
05:14
|
|||
Tangled eyelids dangling head,
suddenly I found myself
as hanging
into a mesmerizing dream.
Blowing hard this obscure wind
and taking mastery of my sails,
I would joyfully surrend
to the mystery of my drift.
How puerile I realised
to be the crave for any harbourage;
on the contrary the Wise
brave and reckless acquiesces
to be rattled by the tides
of the thousand courses stream.

Black River
05:09
|
|||
There's an army of black infantrymen
marching at a pounding pace
without rest and with no falter
heading to the end of days,
pushing towards one another.
Of the unstoppable parade
no man can stand in the way
for they have no mercy, they have no quarter.
Could you freeze all streaming waters
of the world, still couldn't bathe
in the same fresh river twice:
by the time you soak your limbs
the same man you'd be no more.
I've observed the rillet flow
and zephyrs glide a kindred way
and how perishes each moment,
Death being fact of everyday.

Back to Eternity
05:05
|
|||
I drag myself on crackling bones
like spectre in its chains,
since centuries observing
the black army endless flow.
I wondered for so long
where was it marching towards
then finally this morning
they came knocking at my door.
Ambassador declames
the thumping words of my recall,
I'm summoned back to Eternity
by emperor decree.
So let the crazy dance begin
and blow the wind of change,
let's feed the holy flames
as they consume my own.

Nameless
03:44
|
|||
As mind expands to infinity,
to Eternity the soul,
the wise ascends to beatitude,
the mage speaks to the moon.
What's witnessed from earth
instead is just a man
who inertly degrades himself
into a demented fool.
If you want to once again
feel the glance of your beloved
companion friend or brother,
in my gaze take profound stare.
As next time you meet my eyes
in your deluded heart
you'll find of these old solaces
only the mute reverb.

Animal Consciousness
03:20
|
|||
Animal consciousness
hero of the grief
stands on its claws
in ferocious revolt
defying the laws
of the merciless chief.
No escape or victory
to which could aspire
but as stubborn fire
continues to run
and shines like the
thundering flares of the Sun.
As wave in the sea
head rises and screams
for the glinding entire
in marvelous sheen
'til terminal thud
plunging back to the abyss.

Ashes
04:21
|
|||
Only in the end
a dark fistful of ashes
comrades and followers
hold in their hand.
And wonder through gashes
what now about the dare,
the dazzling fire
that once used to glare.
